AEFW or *TN

Hit it with a turkey baster. Unless it is just eggs you will have no questions.

How many times a day should I do this? Is it best to do it when the fish are out and about? IIRC I should do this for 8 weeks?

Here are my parameters. My phosphates were high at .35 and I brought it down to .06. Is it possible my phosphates could have caused recession?

ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - < 10
ph - 7.9 -8.2
calcium - 410
mag - 1400
alk - 9.5
phosphates - .06

Let me rephrase what I posted. If you blast the coral with a turkey baster, you will probably know quickly if it is AEFW as you would see them fly off. Agree with Rich though it looks like recession. Do it with fish in the tank, as if it is indeed AEFW they may gobble them up once blown off the coral (again if they exist)

I turkey based this morning and did not see anything fly off. I'll keep on doing it for awhile and see if anything flies off.

I'm wondering if one of my fish nipped that sucker. It's a pretty big chunk missing from that frag in the pic. I do have a bicolor blenny but I haven't seen him nip at anything.

Fish in my tank below:

yellow tang
purple tang
clowns (false percula)
mystery wrasse
mccorsker wrasse
lyretail anthias
blue/green chromis
bicolor blenny
royal gramma
