The elkhorn disaster is the first known case of a human disease killing off a marine invertebrate species, according to the study, published online Wednesday in the journal PLoS One.
 
That is a disturbing finding. Fortunately, the study caused Key West to change its sewage treatment system. Thanks for sharing the article.
 
Reminds me of the whole kitty litter down the toilet ended up harming Sea Otters bit.


That said, peeing in your tank to jump start it is still ok right?

Yes... and at least one well known coral farmer used to feed his clams that way.
