Aquavitro Salinity Salt time before use.

According to the instructions for the salt it says it can be used immediately after mixing but they recommend mixing 24 hours prior to use to equalize O2 and CO2 levels. I generally wait about 24 hours before using. How ever I recently discovered a Nitrate problem in my tank and I am trying to do some massive water changes. My question is how many out there that use this salt have used in there tank without waiting 24 hours. I made some this morning and was going to try and use it tonight. About 12 hours after mixing.

I've used it in 20 min , I don't recommend it though.

12 hours is plenty of time.
