Birdsnest dying

This corals skin pealed off today.
It was fine when i left this morning.
Another birdsnest died a few days ago.... same thing... flesh came off the bone.
I am treating my tank with Kick-ick.
I can't think of any reason other than the Kick-Ich treatment for this to happen.
All parameters are normal and stable.
Any thoughts?
 
Sure looks like it's dying, I've never used "Kick Ich" so I can't address that. How about posting you params along with the test kits you used and we'll go from there.

BTW, from the looks of your liverock your tank does look real stable and happy.

Active ingredient 5-nitroimidazoles
"interrupts the Ich life cycle at the free swimming stage."
I used this product several years ago with success and no ill affects.

Tank params.
PH7.9 (I am running CA Reactor) probes calibrated
KH 9.5 Salifert
T 80 deg (probe and themometers)
CA 430 Salifert
MG 1400 red sea
PO4 not readable nutrafin test
Nitrate 0

My experience with Oceanic salt was way too high Calcium and I believe it was low on either alk or something else.

I use RSSP, cal, alk,mg were all measuring within spec.
 
How old is your Salifert ALK test kit? Maybe take some water to your LFS to confirm your test results?

Edit - Just saw in other thread that you confirmed results with second kit.
 
I used different test kits all were showing high on Cal and off on the other parameter which I can't remember. So I went with Kent then to RedSeaCoral Pro salt but will be going back to Tropic Marine Coral Pro Salt. Had the best looking coral and growth with that salt brand.
