Daily Dying Favid

A lovely favid in my display tank had a run in with a disosoma mushroom and was losing the fight until I removed the mushroom. Since the mushroom was removed it's still been dying and loses a little more flesh each day. I am disappointing to see it die but don't have any ideas how to stop the flesh from receding further. Any suggestions before it is gone? I've now lost about 70% of the piece and about 2 years of growth.

I would dip at least in iodine or something commercial like coral rx and revive and then put through a band saw to clean it up. Looks like a couple heads left so who knows. It may survive after all.

An iodine dip and bath in Brightwell's Restor seems to have stopped the rescission. I may be calling on you later this week Erin to saw off some of the skeleton.

Thanks for the offer of the saw Mike. Erin's is closer. :)
