    Looks like simple diatoms to me. Dinos has little strands with bubbles.
    Put a snail or two in.
    If it eats it, it is diatoms, and don't worry.

    Well if that doesn't look pretty? The numbers I mean, not the diatoms. Maybe some nassirius snails to stir up the sand a bit?

    Get fighting conch snails. I put 3 in my tank and they cleaned up my diatoms in one day.

    Diatoms eat up silica, right? I've only had diatoms at early stages in setting up new tanks, and just once, and then they go away
