? for those who use Aquavitro Salinity salt

The other day my saltwater was getting low in my 55 gallon drum that had premixed saltwater using Seachem Reef Salt so I added RO water and added some Aquavitro. I noticed that the water was really murky and had some bubbles. I also noticed that the saltwater had some smell to it. I let it mix with a MJ1200 overnight and I still see the bubbles. I did some work around the garage thinking I contaminated my saltwater. So I dump the water out :( and cleaned the 55 gallon drum with vinegar and let it dry. I made a brand new batch of RO water and Aquavitro and the same thing!!! I talked to Karson at AC and he said that some people have reported it to be murky. Just wondering what everyone's experience is with this salt. In a way I'm afraid of using this salt cause of the bubbles. The Seachem Reef Salt that dissolved instantly.

It does take a while to go into solution, although there is far less residual than with the SeaChem Reef IME, especially early on in the mixing stage (the make up water is cloudy, yet there is a limited amount of salt left in the mixing vessel), it (the Salinity salt) does tend to remain opaque for a while. That is unrelated to the smell, the smell is sulfate, SeaChem informed me before the salt was launched the it is normal and IME I have not had any issues other than the salt smelling like ass, kinda like Prime, which works very well.

Thanks Jeremy for the info. Also emailed Seachem and this is their response. :)

Thank you for the email. From your description, it sounds
completely normal for the aquavitro salinity salt. I have
been using it myself for about a year now; it is normal
for it to have a slight sulfur odor. Also, this salt has
elevated levels of calcium and magnesium which may cause
slight initial cloudiness; therefore, we do recommend
mixing it for 24 hours before use (if possible). Once you
perform a water change, the cloudiness is completely
harmless and should clear up rather quickly in your tank.
The salt is made of very anhydrous components (meaning,
it is very dry); when the salt comes into contact with
water, there may be some bubbling or "fizzing" which is
also normal. We can assure you that we are following very
strict quality control guidelines and that the guaranteed
analysis on the label of this salt is true. Please rest
assured that the salinity salt you are using is perfectly
safe to use; we feel that you will be very happy with the
results. If you would like to read more information, here
