Has anyone fragged rics? My blue ones have finally spread enough I feel I should do some fragging so others can enjoy these beauties.

From what I've seen the approach should be to cut a single polyp through the middle of its mouth, forming two pieces. Then place in a container with some rock rubble in a low flow area and let them attach to the rubble.

I can't really take out the rock my rics are on.. Should still be possible to frag, right?

Not sure the best way to cut them if they are attached already? I think the rest if te method you plan on is sound though. I sometimes try to cut pesty mushrooms off rock w bone. Cutters. Works pretty decent.
 
Are you trying to propagate them via fragging?

If so you can try taking a razor blade and bisect one of the ricordeas. See what your survival rate is though by experimenting on one.

If you're trying to frag them off your rock to pass on to others. Use a pair of bonecutters, stick them in your tank, and break off a piece of the rock that their foot is attached to.
