Ive seen it at ritz and thought it was cool, but not sure if it worked like it says or if it would even fit my cameras shoe

They work, but so does a piece of paper if you don't want to spend the money. I make my own out of plastics I have laying around Last one I made was actually out of a very fine micron mesh that we use to strain rotifers with

lol...very innovative..i should start using available resources and chop up some old filter bags...ive tried paper, but pulling it on and off got kinda tedious..filter mesh and a rubberband sounds promising though
