I am returning to the hobby after a 25 year absence. Can't believe how much has changed !! Really glad to find a Bay Area site. I am currently running a 40g while I play catch up on the all the advancements since I last had a tank and apply what I am learning to the 75g build I have going. Went with with I know or guess knew on the 40 which is HOB and UG filters with a crushed coral bed. I have met some really great reefers who have been amazing about sharing and helping me along my return.

Thanks, ya my goal with the coral is to grow them out a bit then transfer select ones to my 75. Once I get it done that is. Always looking for advice on corals and water if you see something in the pictures

Be careful on placement of that Green Star Polyp coral. Nice looking, but it can REALLY spread and take over.
