High Tide Aquatics

Hi from the Cal Academy

Hi all,

I am new to the area, just moved in from Texas to start working at the California Academy of Sciences. Some of you might find my name familiar as I post often over at Reef Central and have a long thread there with underwater photos of rare fish (a treat below, Genicanthus personatus in its natural habitat). Anyhow, I've had a 28g nano reef tank for awhile and now I am thinking about upgrading to a 60g cube (maybe a Solana) and will definitely be asking for you guys advice about local stores and such.

Cheers,

Luiz

hello,

I volunteer there on Saturdays mornings in the aquarium so stop by and say hello if you want. I volunteer under Matt Wandell's area.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. As Matt said, that fish is very expensive, often selling for more than $10k each.

I am with the research area, more of a "scientific" type, haha, so I won't be dealing with any aquarium in specific (except for mine). I have one 28g cube and will be setting up a 60g soon.
