I am tired of my ph being chronically low and have decided that the best course of action is to start dosing kalkwasser.
Now I have an old school method I used to use a long time ago but since it has been a while I wanted to see if there were any better methods (aside from buying or building a reactor) that people use.
My old method was to take a 2 gallon container with a valve and mix the kalk with RODI water. Agitate it vigorusly and then let it sit over night. From there I would essentially then essentially siphon off a majority of the clear water from the top and add this water to my top off water or add to the sump with a slow drip (repeat as necesary). Clearly this is very time consuming but still may be the best method. any thoughts?
Btw I have read this thread already

Forgot to add. I am assuming adding vinegar is a bad idea as it reduces the effect of the rasing of the ph. Is this correct?
