In the freshwater planted world, Mr. Aqua tanks are fairly common and have a sturdy reputation. IIRC, Mr. Aqua is a trade name owned by JBJ, so it's roughly 85-95% the quality of ADA, at fraction of the cost. Frankly, I use them and like them.
I have a 33gal from Mr. Aqua for my freshwater community tank, purchased second-hand from a local reefer who was moving. Banged it up a little while transporting it, and chipped one of the edges, but no worse for wear. Also have one of their 17gal acting a QT tank.
Occasionally I stumble across a complaint about bubbles in the silicone, chipped edges (damage in shipping, usually), etc., but I can't recall any catastrophic tales about the Mr. Aqua tanks.
Good luck in your search!
