I got a used Apex El probes been dry (temp and ph) and I'm not sure if they're accurate. For replacement, can I just get any brand probes or do they have to be Apex?

Generally, you can soak a dry PH probe, re-calibrate and put it back into service. The apex temp probes are not damage by running dry. If you do need to replace a temp probe, (unlikely) I think the apex probe with the "phone jack" is proprietary to Apex. Milwaukee PH probes fit the Apex. If you need one, I have a spare you can have. But I doubt you need new probes. Just plug them in, give it a day or two and calibrate.
