Puffer ID

I am probably the last person who should be trying to answer this, but in the interest of trying to help, I tried this: http://www.fishbase.org/identification/specieslist.php?famcode=448&areacode=

If you can set the whitebalance on you camera to "push button" and focus on the white sand, you might be able to bring out the colors a bit better. It also appears to be a juvenile, so that might make it a little harder as sometimes the colors and shape change as they grow to adulthood.

One question I have is whether this is box fish (Ostraciidae) or a puffer fish (Tetraodontidae)?

Looking at the video, I see:
  • Larger eyes
  • Boxier shape in the side profile
  • Stubbier nose
  • Larger mouth
  • No spots under the eyes and around the mouth (?)
  • Connected band across the forehead (not sure what you call a fish's forehead)
  • Is it a dark black on the back and whiter on the bottom or is it brown?

Anyway, some guesses:

Canthigaster margaritata. But the lack of spots around the mouth does not seem like a fit.
Canthigaster Amboinensis. But I am not sure this picture is correctly identified. The adults seem more brown, but this does look like your fish.
