Reactors: Two little Fishes 150 versus BRS Reactor

I am looking at getting a reactor to reduce phosphates. It seems that Two Little Fishes 150 is popular but then I saw BRS's dual Reactor for GFO and Carbon . Do people have an opinion which is better? I have a 60 gallon SPS aquarium.

Thanks

John

It is all about space really. Personally I like the BRS dual reactor better (easier to change out the media etc, but it takes up way more space.

You talking about this guy:

?

If so, you can put GFO and carbon in this same unit?

Not a big fan of using GFO and Carbon in the same reactor. Good way to go broke changing out the GFO (it typically needs to be changed much less frequently then the carbon).

Thanks....for space reason, I would looking at the one Gonzo referenced:

I used to have the dual BRS one and it worked great with carbon and gfo...takes more space as others noted than the 2 little fishes. One mj1200 would work great for both canisters.

+1.

Find the space and buy an extra refillable cartridge. The convenience is worth it.

Or ask Gresham for one :) Our RODI burns through at least two a week. I only started having them save them recently so I only have like 6 :)

FWIW we also use two massive DI units after the RODI. They only need recharging every year (40,000g IIRC)

Oh man totally forgot that for the swap (I suck).. PM your address, I'll ship you them. It's just as cheap as driving there
