Hey guys,
I am finally getting around to setting up my RKM-NET module and was wondering how you access it remotely. I looked on the DA support forum and found this:
This is how I successfully configured my linksys router.
1. Set up account for DDNS using DynDNS.org and registered it on my router (ex. test.homeip.net).
2. Assigned a static IP address for the RKM-NET (ex. 192.168.1.100) on the RKM-NET "Networking" page.
3. Used Port Range Forwarding on the router to forward port 80 to the static IP address I assigned to the RKM-NET (ex 192.168.1.100).
4. Access the RKM-NET by doing an http:// to the DDNS name that I set up (ex http://test.homeip.net). No port number had to be added to the http://.
All done.
I don't know too much about routers. I have a linksys WRT54G and was wondering
- How do I register a host on my router?
-How do I use Port Range Forwarding?
