SOFT SNAILS?

So, I just started my new tank, so there's just sand and live rock in there and I already have seen at least two small things that look like soft snails... Number one, that gives me hope since there is life in there. But I dont know if these things should be removed or not. Im worried they might be the same type of creature that ate all my zoo's last tank. Any words of wisdom here?

By soft snails, you don't mean nudibranchs, right?

Here are pics of the Sundial/Heliacus snails that eat zoas.

no, these look like a snail with a soft white top over them... should I try to get em out of tank just to be safe or could these be helpful to the tank?

These?

Supposed to be good for the tank.

Yes, those are the guys... Im pretty sure. Shoot, I killed two of em yesterday cause I got paranoid, but there's at least one or two left. How did they get in there and live during the cycle, they must be tough S.O.B.'s

Cool, well it looks like Ive got at least two of them at this point and I read that they reproduce, so it should be all good. Going to test the waters this weekend and see where Im at.

Yup, like rabbits. I fished out two of them from a buddy of mine and have a very healthy population of them going at the moment. Check the tank at night with a flashlight or something when they come out in droves.

But this is a good thing, is it one of those the more the better? I dont have to worry about them eating any of the zoo's, polyps, mushrooms etc. Im getting close to being able to add some stuff I hope.
