Tips for kepping a Powder Blue Tang?

Hey Mike,

I've had mine for at least three years now and he has gone through quite a bit including two moves. Mine is pretty happy with pellets and mysis. I notice my tangs stress out easily. One time he had ick and he came through with plenty of feeding and garlic. Ample room to swim is also adviced. Mine is about 4 inches in a 48x24x16 tank.

Hope this helps.

For a home tank, the most important criteria IMHO is to just give it a home free from other tangs. They'll have plenty to graze on if you don't have a lot of other algae eaters. These are not as tough as some people make them out to be.

For what it's worth a PBT will harass any butterflyfishes or angelfishes (and certainly tangs, which would be a mistake IMO) that you plan on adding later. They can be very aggressive.
