Tips for undata on the mend

I thought I had lost my frag of Monti undata due to a temp spike and stray voltage. It grayed out completely almost overnight. I kept it in the tank and after a week it started turning green with some patches of purple. Now another week later and I can see that the purple patches have some PE.

Will the undata continue grow over the dead portions? Should I leave it alone or try to trim off the dead portions?

Yes, if conditions are good (and stable) the Undata should spread rather quickly. Most encrusting Montipora are quite hardy and can grow fast. They need this ability since most are not physically/chemically aggressive corals.

A small frag I have took about two months to fully grow back after being chemically attacked by an aggressive A. millepora.

Agreed.......you should be able to leave it alone and let it grow back over the rock. Glad it is coming back for ya, they can be such a beautiful coral.
