Virus

Took my laptop for a checkup at Staples and it has viruses that have not been ided by Stopzilla or Mcafee. Could anyone help me with it today at the BOD?

What viruses did they find?

Some stuff can take all day to clean off of your system.

I have a CD with a bunch of cleanup tools including Ultimate Boot CD for Windows that I can bring.

The one they mentioned was a HBO Trojan???? That would be great if you could bring them.

Ugh... I left the CD in the car.

Give the malware bytes, super antispyware, bit defender, and hijack this a try first.

I didn't include the Ultimate Boot CD. That's more involved.

Thanks. I'll try it tomorrow. The laptop is really slow and I have to reconfigure the network connections everytime I boot up. Windows is never able to check for wireless networks. I always need to recheck the box for that.

You might want to use a hardwire connection to your router temporarily. A little more convenient while the computer is getting fixed.
