Elephant Seals at Ano Nuevo

Anybody want to see elephant seals at Ano Nuevo State Reserve, about a half hour south of Half Moon Bay? They come ashore in the late fall and fight to form harems, then during the winter they congregate to give birth, lie around, nurse pups, fight a bit, mate. It is AWESOME. You hike out on a guided tour of 20 people through the sand dunes (~3 miles, ~2.5 hours, in all weather) and get very close to them. Info: https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=29375
I am hoping to take my niece there on Saturday, February 3 (you can reserve 56 days in advance). Anybody else want to go that day sometime before noon? If so, I can try to book several tickets or the whole group of 20. Current price is $11 per ticket and I think $10 per car to park. If you have questions, ask them. I have been there multiple times and I bet other members have, too.

Sounds very cool!

Thanks for the offer Maureen! We went last winter and really enjoyed it. This year, I don't know if my feet have a 3 mile hike in them. Have a great time!!!
