Coralife mini uv water in bulbs...

So I took apart my uv in my biocube because it just seemed to be doing nothing. And look what I found. Water is inside of both uv bulbs. How does this even happen. I've had it plugged in the whole time too.

that sucks. At least you didn’t get toasted.

UV lamps do have a little amount of mercury in them usually, so, if things seem off in your tank, that may be why.

I emailed coralife last night. This morning I had a response from them. They said send them a picture and my address and they would send me a new one right away.

Wow.
Lucky it did not short out and blow.
Probably fine for the tank. Water goes in, air bubbles out, not likely to pollute things.
