Time will tell. On the podcast they mentioned that a few professional tank maintenance people swear by it. So I presume it lasts at least for a while and a bunch of uses.

It’s so much better at cleaning and so inexpensive (compared to reefing gear) that even if it needs to be replaced a couple times a year it’s worth it to me.

In all seriousness, I did not realize people did so much rock scrubbing. Are you all really doing this much manual algae removal?

Even with a nice auto brush, this seems very tedious.

Just an extra gadget to have on hand !!Think Im down to one or two snails in the 180 the tang gang keeps everything spotless better then cucs. But had more hair algae issues at times running tanks to small for tangs especially if you like wrasses which can be hard on cucs depending..Had one six line that just killed cucs for sport little ****….
 
My gem and purple tang along with the foxface have no interest in algae. I need to control nutrients better but yes. I have been doing a lot it scrubbing lately and this thing really helps.
