I would add it's best to purposely trigger a power outage to return pump as in unplug it or turn off power to it, to ensure that sump can contain the extra water.
It's a very important step when setting up a newer tank. It helps you determine the sumps water line, and give you confidence you won't flood your house during a power outage. It's definitely not something you wanna find out when one actual happens.
