Nano Build Extraordinaire ~ 120 Gallon Mixed Reef

Coral Reefer - Thanks for the input, I was hoping the 2 would be enough and with my canopy I have plenty of room to add some extra diy leds if needed.

Nano Build Extraordinaire ~ 120 Gallon Mixed Reef

It is an aquarium master tank. I really wanted to do an external California overflow but it started pushing the budget through the roof and where I am putting the tank, the plumbing would have been super visible and ugly.

Nano Build Extraordinaire ~ 120 Gallon Mixed Reef

I am most likely going to step it to 4 sol's but I wanted to see if 2 was enough like their website says. I have a plastic cross brace so three would make a nasty shadow but we shall see. The beauty of the sols is the modular design so I can add which is awesome. PS I love my cardboard...

Nano Build Extraordinaire ~ 120 Gallon Mixed Reef

This it what happens when you are forced to wait and have nothing better to do on a sunday afternoon. Then I load it up with my rock and try out different configurations. The curent configuration has a ton of holes and open space which should be nice for fish and cleanliness. Best of all...

    Soon to be Tank

So after the wife gave the thumbs up for a reef tank again after years without having one. I have been going hog wild on research and I think I am finally to some decision points. Granted I still have to source a lot of these items but I have actually begun to get a realistic list together...

    AE Tech Sumps and skimmers

I see a lot about reef octopus but does anyone have reasons why they like them so much? Also with so many models which ones are better than others? It seems like they have a few different designs.

    AE Tech Sumps and skimmers

True, I just really liked some of the features for organization however those could probably be accomplished as well with a little time... Lets face it, any money saved can be put where you see it although I have to admit that I am not a master sump designer... Might have a ton more...

    AE Tech Sumps and skimmers

Anyone have any experience with AE Tech sumps or skimmers, they are a little speedy but look quality built and designed. Considering for new build of a 125 gallon tank and I like how everything is so structured. Looking specifically at the following setup Protean 600 large Interested to...
