    So on my sedbed use to be a large colony of zoas on one side of my 40 breeder. For some unknown reason some of them were always irritated for about a month. So I dipped and put back and it helped for a day then again some closed. So I moved the colony up the rockwork and they are now fine...

    I found 2 LFS in my town not on the list

    I believe you are talking about Great Bay Aquarium in San Lorenzo on CL for 33k. Its been for sale for at least a year started around 50k and the price has dropped. I started going there when I first set up my tank and I do regret it. There used to be a guy who worked there who knew his stuff...

    Corals are Getting Eaten

    Came home and even more were closed it looks as though they are not being eaten but its some type of bacterial infection. My reasoning is because it is only affecting certain types of zoas on mixed colony rocks and not others. The ones closed had a brownish coating which did not look good so I...

    Corals are Getting Eaten

    Ok so my tank is a 40 breeder and I have had a coral beauty and a lawnmower blenny for around two years. It has about 35 lbs of live rock and alot of corals mostly zoas/palys, leathers and hammers. So My issue is that certain colonies of zoas are slowly being depleted. At first I was suspect...

    Mistakes=bad hitchhiker

    I have yet to see the starfish on the zoas, however I have been running the tank for over 1.5 years with no issues with zoas opening and closing for no apparent reason. What made me consider that it was an issues is because they have remained closed for over 24 hours which has never happened...

    Mistakes=bad hitchhiker

    Well I actually have alot of asterina starfish in the tank. I just noticed that the ones on this paticular plug were kinda bluish compared to my others. So the harlequin shrimp would have a source of food for at least a while. Tonight I will just put the lights out early and see what I can catch!

    Mistakes=bad hitchhiker

    Ok so my tank is zoa dominated and this last week I picked up a favia frag. So my mistake came from not dipping it but I did notice two light blue startfish, looked like asterina stars on the side of the plug. Now two of my larger colonies of zoas have partially closed and my research tells me...
