Another dumb question - it turns out I have a Reefer 250 V3. I assume thats considered a Gen 1 but would be nice to confirm. TIA

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to look at the serial number and determine if the tank is a G1 or G2. Unlike the labels provided in this thread, mine does not have reference to a "v" - it is just a single string of numbers. Thanks

Ahhhh you might be right! But given the time frame, I’m almost certain that stand came from Tropical Paradise! It was not particularly unique but we had a builder who built all his stands almost identically to this one.

Pretty sure the warehouse in the east bay you are referring to was Tropical Paradise in San Leandro. I used to work there and recognize the stand!

Sad day. My tank sprung a leak this morning. I cant say that I am totally surprised. I knew Deep Blue tanks weren't the highest quality but I took a gamble and paid the price. Fortunately it leaked from a seam close to the top of the tank so I only lost about 5-10 gallons of water but it was...

I don’t have sand in my tank (for that very reason) but have a lot of lps in the bottom center that won’t like that extra flow. I’m considering mouthing the gyre vertically in the back corner but we’ll see how that goes. Will report back! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
