    SF tank tour? March 11th?

I'd be down to join this tour, but i'm a little south of S.F. If we can i'd like to have my tank be a part of the tour, but if not I'd be interested to tag along and view other systems.

fish that stir up the sand bed

I have the diamond watchman goby in my 60 gal. I like it a lot, but it tends to stir the sand bed a little too much sometimes. Occasionally it will bury corals in the sand and I have to dig around and find them. I decided the beauty of it and it's ability to sift sand is reason enough to keep...

Congrats! You can definitely tell he's half British, look at that pompous smirk on his face.;) I bet he's gonna be like Stewie from "Family Guy". :D

What to do with my clam shell?

Make some sort of cave out of it or glue corals to it.

    Newbie Question: Kenya Tree

Corals do that, sometimes they close for days longer and are fine. I'd do a water quality check.

I need advice regarding the RC stuff

What do you mean step down? You kick ass, those pansies don't realize how much blood and sweat you put into making this club happen. To be honest with you, when I first saw you I thought you were sorta mean and arrogant looking, but I got to know you and what you do for this club and found out...

    Why

I am one of the reefers that is true to his softie corals. Never changing for one reason or another. The main reason is i'm an extremely broke student teacher, I can't afford the lighting, and i'm too lazy/busy to maintain high quality water levels.

Dec. Meeting - Thank You BAR Members!

Who wants to buy the metal halide I won? Can't use it with my current system and I don't want it to collect dust in the garage.

Anyone been able to get Cerith Snail eggs to maturity?

I actually have a ton of tiny white ceriths in my tank right now. They are from the first snail group buy. Apparently some of them survived being eaten and now they are many. They go on the glass at night and hide in the live rock as soon as the lights come on. I'm interested to see if some make...

Just curious, have you ever spotted our Great White friend on one of your expeditions or have been warned away from diving because of sightings?

Remember your child's teacher this holiday season

I actually have pcs, and I student teach through a private organization, so they pay for the electricity, and the tank itself came out of my pocket. :)

Remember your child's teacher this holiday season

Hi, As a student teacher at an elementary school, I know what it's like to deal with the situations teachers are facing in California. Low pay and seemingly little appreciation for our efforts. At my school the parents go the extra mile to let us know they are thankful for what we do for their...

    Abalone diving - North Coast

What's included in the full gear? I would love to do it, but not if i'm going to drown. I'm 150 lbs. and the way you are making it sound, i'll probably sink under all the weight. :D

    Abalone diving - North Coast

I would like to tag along on one of your trips one time, if possible. That seems like a lot of fun and i'd like to learn the whole process of "the hunt".
