Sorry to change topic Coral Reefer, but I was wondering how long they can survive without a clam to feed on because I am pretty sure I have a breeding population, of what coral reefer is holding in his hands, in my tank but I haven't had a clam in the tank for about 1.5 years.

Maybe if it gets really bad you could try a tuxedo urchin. They will eat them and uproot them for camouflage.
