Sanjay just did some testing on the Galaxy using the Radium 400w. Seemed to get decent PAR. I don't mind blue bulbs so I thought I'd give these a shot since they are suppose to be even bluer on electronic ballasts.

My Helios were getting older so I bought a pair of Radium 400w to run on my Galaxy electronic ballasts. I thought they'd be much bluer. Anyone know if they will burn in bluer?

You should get a titanium ground probe for your tank. It removes stray voltage which may have caused the deaths. A GFCI will also shut off the power if it detects high current.

Yeah you can't trust any measurements without calibrating regardless of the sophistication of the device or the brand of the product. I had Salifert Alk kits that were off by as much as 3dKH. My refractometer was also off quite a bit.

I had the same thing happen to me. Be careful because you can really get hurt. Make sure all cords have a safety loop so water does not travel along the cords into the outlet. You should have a ground probe in your tank to remove stray voltage and everything should be connected to a GFI.
