I don’t blame the wave makers at all. I’m no physics expert tho I would never buy a rimless tank. I prefer eurobrace for sure. Strength and no splashing, less fish jumping, somewhere to set stuff while I work etc I also agree the stand has always seemed strange to me. Not sure it matter though.

I use the 24” all the time. I use the flex to my advantage and put pressure on the middle with my other hand sometimes. I have the shorter one too, depends on the use case
