ya.. i dont think im going to run the skimmer, im just going to do water changes every three days and use dye/chemical free paper towels to absorb the protein on the surface... i dont like how skimmers take out trace elements, trust me. i use to be all "I NEED A SKIMMER!"

do i need it tho? i already hav a filter, lots of live rock and sand, and a fuge... i also am going to be doing water changes 1-2 times a week im only housing one 3in fish... i like coral

I have a 20gal. tank w/a powerhead, 30 lbs live rock, 20lbs live sand, a refugium, a biological filter, and i was wondering wat would be a good protein skimmer to add to my system? something that works fairly good, is somewat quiet (i already hav 3 air pumps running and three or four filters...

i also hav a fuge for the mandarin i made from a converted filter...

umm... ya imma wait on the mandarin for at least a year... im starting with some crabs and maybe a blenny or dartfish

i can get true un-cured rock, the store i buy from does special orders... they are also ordering a pellet-fed spotted mandarin dragonet for me. ^___________________________^ but its liek $60.. O.o

I have a 20-gallon, 15 lbs dead rock that needs to be cured, getting 5 lbs completely cure ready to go live rock. shud i get un-cured live rock and cure it w/my deadish rock. i boiled the rock.
