I'm so hoping that's the last heatwave for this summer. I'm in Morgan Hill and we topped at 113 degrees! My garage is not as well insulated as I thought, my tank went as high as 85 despite me pointing a big industrial fan on the tank in addition to the aquarium fan and lots of ice in sandwich bags. I'm surprised my critters survived, I felt so bad for them tho. My clowns were swimming frantically back and forth, I'm pretty sure because of the heat.

I am taking Mark B's advice and buying insulation styros this weekend.

Home Depot sells large packs of styrofoam for less than 10 bucks! i only needed to buy 1 pack for the 100!

Awesome! Does anyone know if I can install these on my garage door? I have the kind that rolls up and down. My garage is facing west so it gets soaked in the sun which turns my garage into one big oven.

yeah this is the perfect example and make sure the chrome side is facing out like this in the picture

Thanks for the tip! I'll try it this weekend.

I seem to recall manufacturer requirements needs to have the reflective side facing open air otherwise it does absolutely nothing as a radiant barrier.
