A Macro Cube

Triton ICP test came back and I have multiple heavy metals in the tank! Tin is most elevated, some copper.

The phosphorous and phosphate test disagrees with my Hanna phosphorous tests. I tested phosphorous the same day as the ICP test went out and it read 22 ppb (22 ug/l) and the test shows 52ppb. The hanna checker has new batteries and the reagents are brand new. I do not have a phosphate test kit.

The general recommendation is 15% water changes every week. I will also check the MP10 wet side but Im generally at a loss of where it is coming from.

turns out I had an ammonia spike up to 0.4 when all the previous issues were occurring. I noticed in one of my clowns gills were flared, and corrected it with seachem prime, purigen, microbacter and water change. I figured this was from vacation starving and then returning to feed heavy.

For the past couple weeks the ammonia has been 0 but again it’s up to 0.2 today despite a more moderate feeding schedule

2 clowns
1 bicolor
1 6 line

Feed 1/4 mysis cube daily
~10-20 oz phyto every other day
2-4ml reef energy every other day

My canister filter has new poly floss and a ton of media rocks. I don’t run a skimmer and am considering the tunze 9004

Cora’s have definitely been doing better but they’re all quite damaged from the ammonia spike
