AI Sol Question

I'm working on setting the lights for the "little cube thing" Got both lights on but took the fans off to clean and tested them on a 12V power supply; they do work but when they are on the AI Sol unit, they are off; Do they turn on only when the fixture needs to be cooled or they have to be on all the time?

IIRC, they're activated by a temperature controller onboard, so yeah they only turn on when it needs to be cooled.
