I have a Miami Vice zoa frag that has about 10 aiptasia on it. No aiptsia visible anywhere else in the tank...for now. Can someone with a nudibranch or other fish eating aiptasia place this frag into your tank to eliminate them? Afterward I can frag it in half and you keep one.
 
I see a few pop up here and there. But not enough to justify a long term solution. Might starve the nudibranch or other live stock.
 
You have them in the tank, so just treat them on the frag while they are easy to get to. You are not going to eradicate them. Use whatever you are treating the tank for or get something now for the future inevitable. Kalk Paste for the easy to get ones and F Aptasia for the harder ones is my tool kit.
 
no, they live through it. Maybe if you attacked them so they were cut up and locally hit them at a high concentration, but not at dip concentration.
 
Better do something now. - that's what I'm doing now
so just treat them on the frag while they are easy to get to - that's what i'm doing now

Lysmata Wurdemanni (or Lysmata Bogessi) peppermint shrimp Is the way to go. thanks @Srt4eric

i like copperband butterfly, but it'll destroy the anemones
 
I’ve never had good luck with copperband for long term. They usually die around a year or two. I think they are like anthias. Requiring lots of feedings.
I never tried Molly miller. I usually end up with filefish.
 
If you go with peppermint shrimp I'd suggest from saltybottomreefcompany.com. you can get a dozen for a really good price. I've never had luck with just a couple peppermints. You need a bunch of them if you want them to eat your aptasia
