I'm thinking of switching to 150's from 250's. Can I still keep sps? Will sps still grow? How about keeping LPS at the bottom of the tank? Any other opinions are appreciated. TIA.

I am. I run 3 150's on a 6' tank,I also am running 4 t5's with the 150's.
6:00 am 2 t5 actinic on
6:30 am 3x 150 MH on
7:30 am 2 t5 10000k on
10:30 am 2 t5 10000k off
11:30 am 3x 150 MH off
6:30pm 2 t5 10000k on
10:30pm 2 t5 10000k off
11:30pm 2 t5 actinic off

No problem with sps in the top half. I have not tried to move them down.
lps are fine on the bottom.
I'm going to try to run a single 250 on a light mover with the t5's to save watts and in hopes that I can keep a clam on the bottom.

Depth of tank? 2' like his?

My tank is 29" deep but has 4-5" of sand.
Light mover was ordered from Ocean Treasures in SF.
They are used most often for "grow" rooms and stuff.
Search light mover on eBay.

6' x 29"...I like that.... Whats the front to back (OT sorry) :)
