best 250w DE bulb?

i personally not a big fan of DE but i couldn't pass up on a fixture that had MH, t5 and LED. so here i am w/ 2x250w 10k DE current USA bulbs. i'd like something bluish not totally blue. what do you guys recommend. i have no experience in DE bulbs. i've tried a bunch of different SE bulbs tho.
 
well Sam i think its gonna be a matter of personal taste....lets see i have tried the reeflux 12k's looked good but i really did'nt see much in the way of growth (sps anyway) , then went to pheonix 14k's and it looked ok and corals really showed growth spurts after about 6 months......finally with growth not being my priority and looking for better colors i went to helios 20k's, so far colors are to my liking ( as with most 20k's) and growth is still going strong. thats been my experiance. let me know if you want to try out some of my older bulbs (they probably have 10-12 months usage on them )
 
yo serg that would be great if i could try em out to see the color. i'm looking more for color than growth. i tried the t5s on the fixture and am less than pleased with the stock actinic bulbs they provide. i'll try the ushios also.
 
no problem , i've got 2 12k reeflux and 2 14k pheonix i can bring to the oct meeting, just let me know if your gonna make it, otherwise i'll just leave them at home for another time.
 
I am also running the Ushio 20ks. Nice color. Definitely dimmer, but IMHO, better color than Phoenix. Growth remains to be seen as I've only had them in for one month.

Prior to the Ushios, I tried the Helios 20k, but after going through three bulbs, none of which would match, I gave up on them. My first two bulbs from Premium Aquatics were totally different colors, one bulb looked great, the other one was very yellow. Third bulb they sent me was also yellow. I would consider trying Helios again, but not until they get their quality control straightened out.
