got ethical husbandry?

Blue tang in a 40G breeder...

And ignoring mass, you also have dietary concerns. A mandarin can physically be ok in a 15g tank as far as size is concerned, but it is also a death sentence because of it's need for a large pod population for food.

but that's ok. I can get 10 mandarins and experiment with them in my 10g. then take the sick starving ones back to the LFS who didn't learn to eat non live pods ;)

Yah but then they'd call you an A-hole and ask you not to come back to the LFS :) Most people ask prior to buying the fish to see it eat or not ;)

Notice how I said it's not the norm...I didn't mean Norman :p FWIW I just trained my friends mandarin onto Arcti-Pods :) Took two months but it eats them with gusto now :)

Only at a good LFS, most places would give you 2.00 store credit on your 20.00 fish, and would be happy to sell you a clown trigger for your 5 gal mixed reef pico..............SMH

I experiment with stuff all the time. If it gets sick, bring him back to the LFS. If he dies, then thats that... [/quote]
