Some hastily taken macro shots this morning, I am staring to get some red color back (dosing Randy’s secret sauce) and pretty happy with how the tank is doing:

Growth has always been pretty good for me, last few months I had some issues with coloration though, especially reds and yellows.

I have always mixed TM “Elements” A+K with my ESV but have never been able to get measurable ICP results for certain traces. After talking to @RandyC I noticed that the Chaetogro he doses is basically a cocktail of everything I was missing so I just started dosing that and immediately began seeing better ICP results and better colors.

Interesting! Do you grow macro algae? I forget. Wondering if it uses those traces up or just your corals suck them out or what your guess is

I used to dose chaetogro, but it began precipitating something and I just never bought another bottle. It's just trace elements, so corals should be able to use them just like macroalgae. I think the ratios are probably fine if you check every now and again. All-in-one solutions can only get so good, but I think chaetogro is on the nicer end of that spectrum

It seems to be working magic for Derek's coral, but then again many things seem to be magic in his tank and he might just be the common denominator

No, I don’t grow any macro algae. CG just happens to be a product that contains the traces I was after, iron and manganese in particular. These are also in the TM product, which I was dosing fairly heavily. But I didn’t start seeing them showing up on ICP until after the CG.

I’ve got my 3rd ICP out since starting CG and will report back when I get the results.

I have chaetogro on a Versa doser sitting on a magnetic stirrer. Stirrer turns on a couple minutes before dosing. If you're going to auto dose, I'd recommend doing the same as sediment does settle on the bottom fairly quickly.

I was thinking about cheatogro as I run heavy macroalgae these days. Hearing it works well for you, I might need to mix it into my dosing regiment.
