Does bare-bottom = less or no Cyanobacteria?

Since running bare bottom tanks the last 6ish years I have not observed Cyanobacteria in the tanks. Am I just lucky? Before running bare bottom, each tank had small patches of cyano come and go over the years.

Curious to hear about others experiences with BB and cyano.

IMO, no sand means less pockets for the detritus to settle that cyano needs. You can still get it though depending on flow

makes sense! Plus more flow down low, in my case, than my sandy tanks.
