Electrical cost of running a reef tank in SF

No, I still have gas water heater and dryer. Something to consider when the time comes to replace them.

I have a new 2-stage furnace which is relatively efficient (I forgot the rating.) What else do you think account for higher electrical consumption in the winter? Longer light usage? We don't line-dry clothes, so washer/dryer usage is constant. Even prior to the solar panels, winter usage was traditionally higher.

I just got my price quote for 3.28kw solar system by Solarcity. Total installation cost is $26,486. Cost after incentives/rebates (EPBB of $1.8/kw_ac = $4891) is $21,595 --this is the money that I'll have to come out with. However, there is still a $2000 Fed tax rebate I could get when I fill my tax return. So, final cost to me is $19,595.

I wonder what my referral bonus will be ;D
