Hans’ Coral Club Tank

I have a decent collection of leathers I would be willing to donate a larger one, or a few random frags.

They are almost impossible to kill unless you actually make a effort to kill them.

Good to be one of first corals in a new system do to their hardness and low care requirements. Once tank has been running for a bit, to ensure a fair chance of survival for tbr coral, I likely would be willing to donate some other types of coral. Really glad to see you doing this.

I will definitely be following along here.

That’s great news. I’ll be at the frag swap if you want to donate then I can keep them in my sump until the school tank is ready. Otherwise I will post once the tank can take some corals. Thank you.

Awesome how much space does your sump have. I have a 3 larger leathers I could bring for you. It would ould definitely help if you bring a 5 gallon bucket and lid so I could keep my own bucket.

By larger: think 6-7,inches in height.

Just confirm with me you will be there and I'll bring them.

I've got some sump space. Of course I could always move some things around in my refugium which I basically use as my frag tank. I'll be there for the swap and I'll bring a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. Thank you. See you then.

Coral Club updates.
1) Found my first tank light from 5 years ago. Still works and should be strong enough for our softy tank.
2). Students fixed the gravity fed ATO. So that should be working and save us some early start up costs. .31 cents vs a new powered ATO.
3) Students worked on the rock work design
4) Purchased a couple more items for our Serious Reefs Quarantine Tank.
5) Started watching Serious Reefs 90/10 tank setup.
6) We have three funding opportunities coming up. 1) Students presenting to our PTSA in early November 2) I’ve submitted a grant proposal to Alameda Education Foundation. We should hear back in early November 3) Students are hosting our first Bake Sale in early November.
7) Once we get some seed money we can make all the preliminary purchases and we can get our display tank running and our first fish in QT
8) We worked out a sponsorship with Aquatic Collection to help the club with livestock and equipment purchases.
