Hi all, the tank has been up for over a month now and I have transferred over most of my corals, inverts and two clownfish. I have a DC skimmer and it runs 24/7. It pulls out tea colored liquid from the foamy head... But i cannot get the thick stuff to come out into the collection cup. It accumulates in the top of the neck. Is there a way to make changes to get it to overflow into the cup without getting tons of liquid? Or do I just need to let it be awhile and let it break in more?
I am currently running it in 8.5" of water and the pump running at 100%. I have the gate valve almost closed( closing it raises the foam head and opening it drops it down lower into the neck). I also have a micro adjustment for the air...it is about half way closed. Pics are below...
