Alright, giving this another go!

Started the hobby back around 2004/05 when LEDs were still being developed. Went to college and put the hobby on a pause.

Fast forward to 2016, after college, and got the itch again and attended my first BAR swap at Chabot college. Through the years, many ups and downs, but more recently with a recent house purchase and wedding, the hobby was on the back burner.

Tank was surviving, but not thriving… lost a lot of corals.

Now that life has settled down a bit, I’m jumping back into the hobby.

Finally got my water parameters in check after multiple water changes. (high nitrates, high phosphates, low alk and low Ca).

Took advantage of AC’s Columbus Day sale and picked up some chalices and an acan to test the tank.

Equipment:
- im25 lagoon
- Kessil A360x tuna blue
- Apex classic
- Tunze 5017 ATO

Livestock:
- Pair of blue clowns
- yellow watchman goby
- royal gramma

- rainbow RBTA
- Sunkist bounce
- bleached OG bounce
- struggling jawbreaker

New corals:
Unsure of names, but space invader chalice on far right.

Hoping to have the tank in tip top shape and get a few corals to be able attend the BAR swap in November.

Feels good to be back and looking to meet new and familiar faces.

Welcome back. Please don't let lack of corals keep you from showing up, we would love to have you there.

If you need corals for the swap, let me know. I can give you some so you can participate and stock up your tank. Before the last swap I attended, my last swap was at Chabot College. Welcome back!

Welcome. Starting a journal is an excellent first step. Looks like you got your ALK and CA in order, but I would also check on MG, depending on the salt you are using. At least in the beginning. Also happy to donate corals so you can (actively) attend the swap.
