Hole in Toadstool/White Area Growing

Anyone ever experience this or have any idea what might be happening?

This hole appeared on my toadstool and has slowly grown bigger, now the white area around the hole is growing larger.

Just wondering if this is self propagation or cause for concern. Not looking to have it nuke my tank.

How big of hole nickel, quarter, silver dollar? From those other small divets/ scratches almost looks like something is pecking or munching? hard to tell but if the white patch is getting larger and no ones nibbling Id just slice off the white area then dip the remaining top in a diluted iodine solution if accessable but not necessary then observe. If there's room in the sump or another observation tank can see if it heals up their to rule out other inhabitants causing the hole..

Is it worse today?
Looks like a “burn”
Did a chunk of dried salt fall on it?
What fish do you have?
You can take a razor blade and cut off or around the “damaged” section.

The whole area is maybe a nickel/quarter. The hole itself is maybe 2cms. I don't see anything eating it or messing with it and it's fully open aside from this. I've been considering cutting it, but wasn't sure. I may just do that. I hadn't considered it being eaten.

It's been getting worse over maybe 3 months? It does get a good amount of light, but it's slowly been ramped up to it, maybe 200 par.

No salt that I'm aware of, I don't get much creep.

Currently have a tailspot blenny, clown fish, leopard wrasse, mandarin, and Possum wrasse. Nothing really goes near or sits in the toadstool.

I think I may just cut it and see if that helps.

Ah thought the hole suddenly appeared! Yeah I've had the same thing above sorta but near the edges on much larger toadstools..but if the hole grows larger towards the center I'd just slice off and frag the fin piece..

It's actually pretty normal. It has always happened to mine as well. I have a hole in my current one as well and it's had it there for over two years.
Good to know I don't need to put it under the knife. I figured it was just doing it's thing, I've heard they can be kinda weird. Has it ever went away or just lived with it?
