Interesting conundrum, hair algae almost gone…

Well,
I don’t know if it is a Christmas miracle or bad news. Been battling hair algae for a little while. I think I over feed my fish. Today i noticed it is almost completely gone. Rocks look clean. Don’t know what happened. I did notice my skimmer is going crazy. Producing a lot of foam with no other changes. I did not add anything to the tank. No new fish, clean up crew, or additives. Wondering if any of you have any thoughts? Is this good or bad? I haven’t done any manual scrubbing in two weeks. It seems to have just melted away. Just want to make sure it is not a harbinger of things to come. Thoughts?

I would test everything to be safe. Making sure until didn't have some major parameter swing

It consumed all it could, then starve out
Hopefully it don’t come back
If you think you’re over feeding, change more water
You’re over feeding IF you see uneaten and rotting excess food….which I doubt you’re seeing

No food goes to waste! The fish go crazy during meals.
