I was thinking the same thing. But I assume this was already explored and they probably were one of the ones that raised their prices significantly. Not sure why though. What about The Mission Blue Center in Brisbane have you reached out to them? Thought it was a good deal last time plenty of parking etc
No response from them as of yet. What about The Mission Blue Center in Brisbane have you reached out to them? Thought it was a good deal last time plenty of parking etc
Honestly it has merit. I assume you've been there personally ? It's near your place if I'm thinking of the right spot. I pass ragging waters on my way to church if that's where it is.
Yep, it's right next to raging waters. I've done a bit of grilling and chilling at the smaller picnic areas by the lake. Overall, I think it's pretty nice, but I would check it out for yourself. No special permission needed, but there is there is a parking fee of $5-10 for every car. Also, a lot of goose poop lol.Honestly it has merit. I assume you've been there personally ? I've looked for pictures only found 2 halfway decent pics of the actual pavilion are for 400 people. As well. I'm guessing the one with 400 capacity would likey have alot more available tables. It might make for a weird layout but probably workable. Kinda guessing here as the other. Other Pics I saw are from a good distance away and doesn't show the full area for 400 as a moderate range to see everything with adquate detail.

With the grills it makes sense to cook up some burgers and dogs making it a picnic in addtion to a swap.
At a cheaper price The one for 100 people might work if there is seating for 100 people. Than we would just have to coordinate to get people to bring folding tables to do the actual swaping on.

If you seen them both in person any personal thoughts on which would be adquate?
I'll have to see if this is something that I could just show up to the park and check out Sunday assuming there is no special permission needed to enter the park and the area these would be located.
I won't say confirmed yet but I personally like this option if it's in the very near future.
I Will still look for some in door options ad well. Yet thanks @popper it really had some potential and decent price point.
Not sure if this is in budget, but DeAnza also rents their facilities
My co-worker's wife is high up with McEnery Convention center. I asked him if there are any special deals that she could get us.
I was thinking this as wellCall me crazy, but planning an outdoor frag swap in San Jose/East Bay seems like a dicey decision in late spring or early summer unless you want to risk having coral stew. Even in the shade with the possibility of 90-100F temp for 2-4 hours will probably make a decent number of containers filled with some nice brown, smelly water. I'd personally avoid planning for a swap outdoors in the spring and summer.
