So today I picked up a new (well used) tank from a fellow reefer for my son (he gets an upgrade for maintaining his reef for the last 7 months with basicly no losses and TONS of growth).
This is a 10 gal tru view 1/2 hex type tank, which has had a fuge modded onto the back, and 2 fans were installed in the canopy (in prep for new lighting). So here is my question. Right now it has a single 12" 26 watt bulb (which ain't much) and I would like to possible upgrade the lighting for my son before we go about setting it up.
looks like I have about 22 inchs at it's widest point, going down to 14" at the smallest part of the Hex.
What would you guys do? Keep in mind that this is for a 7 year old so no led fixtures etc.....
